Prairie City SVRA is located just about 20 miles east of Sacramento at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Its closest city is Rancho Cordova in Sacramento County. It provides over 800 acres of land to ride OHV’s. It is also home to a lot of wildlife including eagles, hawks, falcons, turkeys, deer and the occasional coyote. Hours of operation are from 8am to 5pm during the winter months. During the summer it is open from 8am to 8pm every day except for Wednesdays. There are trails open to all forms of OHV’s including mx, ATV’s and 4wd’s. There are also a few different tracks that you are able to ride including the Hangtown track from the AMA National Motocross series. For more info on the tracks please visit the California Tracks page. Red sticker operation is open from Oct 1 – April 30. The park is open during the summer but you will need a green sticker to enter. More info can be found on the California DMV website: Green Sticker Info. There are special events that will be held at the SVRA but they will be updated on the events link from this page. If you have any further questions you can call the ranger station at (916) 985-7378.
